The Edinburgh Sacred Arts Foundation was created in 2018 and is a Scottish registered charity. The Foundation's aims are twofold.
1. To support, encourage and stimulate artistic activity that draws on the rich Christian inheritance in musical, visual, literary, material and performing arts.
2. To accomplish its primary purpose in a way that contributes significantly to the cultural life of Edinburgh during the summer Festivals.
To this end, each year the Foundation appoints a sub-committee with responsibility for organizing the Edinburgh Festival of the Sacred Arts in the Fringe.
